10 Beauty Tips for the Bride:

"Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own."
~ Robert Heinlein

Tip #1:

Get a facial treatment and devise a skin care plan (that you can stick to) with the help of an Esthetician, at least three to six months prior to your wedding day.

Tip #2:

Always do a few trial makeup sessions even if you're doing your own makeup. Practice sessions should take place in similar lighting to your wedding reception. (If you do use a professional makeup artist you will have one less thing to worry about and you will learn makeup tricks to use during your honeymoon and beyond).

Tip #3:

Start any teeth whitening regime about one month prior to your wedding.

Tip #4:

Don't tan or use a spray tan. Dark skin looks unnatural in photography, while your naturally lighter skin will look more illuminating.

Tip #5:

It's ideal to start waxing at least three months prior to your wedding. Don't get your first-ever-wax on your wedding day or even a few days prior.

Tip #6:

Your skin will thank you and your makeup application will look better if you get a facial treatment five to seven days prior to your wedding day.

Tip #7:

Be aware of your diet, especially during the week before your wedding. Limit your salt, caffeine and fountain soda intake. Drink twice or three-times the amount of water you normally drink.

Tip #8:

Keep your normal routine and don't change or add anything new six weeks prior to your wedding. This is not the time to try a new perfume, change your laundry detergent, or cut your hair. No surprises = no worries.

Tip #9:

Do wear waterproof mascara. Crying at your wedding, whether out of joy or passion, is human and highly likely.

Tip #10:

Do prepare a makeup touch-up kit and don't forget to use it! A good kit should include oil blotting papers, face powder, baby wipes (to remove sweat and stains), lip color, facial tissue (to wipe tears properly do this: hold one tissue in each hand, press the tissue in the tear duct, and let the tears run into the tissue-- and keep changing the tissue).
